Texas A&M AgriLife Research Institute Advancing Health through Agriculture, the Department of Nutrition at Texas A&M University, and Texas A&M Health are launching a study for residents in Jim Wells County, Texas that aims to understand whether a program to promote heart health through things such as healthier eating, more physical activity, and reducing stress is effective.
To evaluate this program, a randomized trial will be conducted with women 18 or older that speak English or Spanish and live in Jim Wells County. Your participation can help us better understand how to support healthy eating, active living, and heart health for women in rural South Texas. The study includes five study visits over about one year. Each study visit includes an online survey and health assessments. If you are eligible, you can receive up to $425 in HEB or Walmart gift cards for completing study activities.
